Your first seven Korean practice sessions
Aim for 5–10 minutes at a time. Repeat or pause as needed: seven days is a suggested order, not a deadline or a promise of fluency. Open this page with JavaScript for original examples, optional device audio, two written checks per day, and a downloadable text guide.
Day 1: Put letters into a block
Combine a consonant and a vowel into a syllable. A consonant name and a syllable reading are different.
Day 2: Meet the basic vowels
Compare vowel shapes. Initial ㅇ is silent; Roman letters are reading reminders.
Day 3: Notice a consonant at the bottom
Identify final consonants in a few isolated blocks before studying more sound changes.
Day 4: Use one polite greeting
Recognise an everyday polite hello and a polite thank-you.
Day 5: Introduce a practice name
Use two supplied Hangul names to practise 예요 and 이에요, then try the free first-greeting lesson.
Day 6: Read a numbered label
Recognise the Sino-Korean numbers from 1 to 10 on individual labels.
Day 7: Recall and choose what comes next
Try a syllable and a name introduction, then repeat the practice you need. Written choices do not assess speaking or a Korean level.
